Groom’s Cakes

A Groom’s Cake is a cake given to the groom as a gift from the bride. Typically the cake is in the form of something that interests the groom. For instance, if he plays guitar the cake would be in the shape of a guitar. Be creative, after all this is your wedding so there are no rules!

In ancient times, Groom’s Cakes were given to the single women after the wedding reception. The single women would then take the cake home and sleep with it under their pillow in hopes of dreaming of their future husband.

These days, the Groom’s Cake can be served as dessert at the rehearsal dinner, on display with the Wedding Cake and served to your wedding guests or even served the next day at the gift opening gathering. Either way you slice it, this is the Groom’s time to shine!
